In case you haven’t noticed, there’s a “mindful revolution” going on right now. It’s on the cover of TIME magazine this month (pictured here), and it was a featured story in the New York Times a couple of months ago (“Mindfulness: Getting Its Share of Attention”).
One of the leaders in this revolution — especially in the business world — is Janice Marturano, founder of the Institute for Mindful Leadership, former Vice President at General Mills, and author of the new book, Finding the Space to Lead.
The TIME magazine piece, by Kate Pickert, calls Janice one of the pioneers in mindfulness and leadership, highlighting her “Mindful Leadership Experience” workshop at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, last year — presented to a capacity crowd.
Janice sat down with Shawn Ellis, founder of The Speakers Group, for the “Better Life/Better Business Podcast” last week, and spoke about mindfulness as a path to leadership excellence, and how you can begin by simply taking “purposeful pauses” through your day…
