Do you ever return from vacation feeling like you need a vacation?
The Speakers Group’s own Diane Sieg just published a great article on ElephantJournal.com and cites evidence that “some 50 percent of Americans polled admit to being more exhausted after their vacation than before it started!”
I don’t know about you, but I’ve certainly felt that way. We go on vacations to be refreshed and renewed, and we come back tired and worn out! How does that happen?!
As an alternative, Diane suggests going away on a structured retreat that is really designed for you to “unwind, unplug and reconnect with yourself.” (Sounds good already, doesn’t it?)
If you’d like to give a retreat a try, Diane suggests that you ask five questions before confirming your plans — to make sure the retreat is a fit for you personally, and to make sure that you get the desired result from it.
