Decisions shape our lives. The decision to commit to life-long learning and self-improvement led to a career as a professional musician (drummer from 1973 to 1999) and the privilege of performing with Timothy B. Schmit (Eagles), Lyle Workman (Sting), Myron Dove (Santana), Carlene Carter, Larry Stewart (Restless Heart), Steve Wariner, and the Gatlin Brothers. David also appeared with (opened for) George Strait, Alan Jackson, Alabama, Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakum, Lee Greenwood, and Marshall Tucker to name a few.
After living the stereotypical musician’s life in the late 1970’s, in 1980 David decided to grow up and become a serious professional musician. That decision led to many synchronistic happenings.
David began studying success and personal growth in 1980 after he listened to his first “success consciousness” tape entitled The Psychology Of Winning, by Dr. Denis Waitley. Shortly thereafter, one of his drum students gave him a similar book on success by Napoleon Hill. He recalls thinking, “I could see myself being a professional speaker some day.” From that point on, he committed to reading positive, motivational, “success” material every day and continues to do so to this day.
David has co-authored a book with Dr. Denis Waitley, Deepak Chopra, and Jack Canfield called Stepping Stones to Success. It was released in October 2009.
David says, “The difference between an amateur and a professional is that an amateur plays great when they feel great, a professional plays great no matter how they feel.”
Intensely interested in any psychological technology that would give him an “edge” and help him be more consistently “on” as a drummer, he was led to Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP-cutting edge communication, psychological and belief change technology) in 1986. He became a Certified NLP Practitioner in 1990 to further his mental and emotional mastery training. He also studied Super Learning, Accelerated Learning techniques, and hypnosis.
David has been practicing meditation since 1980. Becoming a 1st degree black belt in karate in 2005 and 2nd degree black belt in 2007 has contributed to his training physically, mentally, and spiritually. His 3rd degree black belt is projected for October 2010.
He incorporates the best of all that he has learned into his workshops: The Time Management Workshop, Microsoft Outlook, and The Happiness Workshop.
David’s experience from presenting over eight hundred seminar dates to thousands of attendees in 48 of the 50 states and throughout Canada has helped him breakdown complex concepts into easily understood language that anyone can understand. His clients ask him back and their testimonials speak for themselves.
David has conducted seminars for Verizon, DirecTV, Johns Hopkins University, the U.S. Army, Roche Pharmaceuticals, the training staff of ITT Technical Institute, and countless others. He has been featured on Channel 4 News at Noon (Nashville, Tennessee) and Tennessee Mornings on Fox 17 in Nashville.

The Happiness Workshop
Do you believe it’s possible to be happy right now, regardless of your current circumstances? Why are some people happy and others aren’t?
Let’s look at what is NOT the key to happiness.
Is it having a lot of money? If it were, then everyone who had a lot of money would be happy. Is everyone who has a lot of money happy? No. So having a lot of money (or a bigger house or an expensive car or any other particular “thing”) is not the key.
Is it being famous? If it were, then every famous person would be happy. Is every famous person happy? No. So being famous is not the key.
Is it being in (or out of) a relationship? If it were, then everyone in (or out of) a relationship would be happy. Is everyone who is in (or out of) a relationship happy? I don’t think so! So being in (or out of) a relationship is not the key.
I could go on and on. So if the key to happiness is NOT these things, then what IS the key to happiness?
The Happiness Workshop is a full-day intensive designed to give you the psychological tools and interactive techniques to help you get clear about who you are, where you’re going, and to make it easier to more consistently choose happiness as often as you’d like. It’s all about the psychology of happiness and is religious neutral.
As a result of fully participating in The Happiness Workshop, you will:
*
more consistently experience higher levels of happiness
*
increase your happiness “set point” (or thermostat)
*
reduced stress levels due to your new psychology of happiness
*
gain clarity about your life’s purpose and what you should be doing with your life
*
discover ten ways to earn a living with what you love
*
learn how to “happily achieve” rather than “achieving to be happy”
*
find out how to become the “eye in the storm” (at peace) when others are experiencing “high-drama” moments
*
experience relaxation, visualization, and meditation techniques to help you become more “present” and focused on the eternal “now” (happiness happens in the NOW; unhappiness happens when you dwell in the past or future)
*
know how to do what extremely happy people do and live a happy life
Best presenter I've ever experienced and I've been going to workshops and conferences for 20+ years! Organization, breadth of knowledge, presentation, ability to communicate with participants, ability to 'shift gears' and respond effectively to any and all questions and without getting behind schedule. The guy's brilliant and just as personable! — Steve Button, Boeing, Seattle, WA
It surpassed my expectations. The speaker asked us what we wanted to learn and made sure to cover those topics in addition to the seminar's curriculum. What made this really enjoyable for me was the speaker's sense of humor. He made the whole experience more memorable by taking dry material and making it exciting and fun. Very personable and friendly. I enjoyed the whole seminar. — Kenneth Frederick, Pathmark Stores, Inc., Tinton Falls, NJ
David is extremely knowledgeable. He is also an excellent instructor - quick to understand questions and very adept at giving clear, easy to understand explanations. He's also a very flexible instructor. A great combination! — Angela Wong Princeton, NJ
I learned several easy to use applications that I can take back to the workplace TODAY! Fast paced, informative - I loved it. Dave is very energetic. I liked his step by step instruction. — Karen Boehm Green Bay, WI
